Despite the sparkling cider, I managed to keep my promises...

At long last, just 1 and 1/2 hours before the ball fell in San Antonio to ring in the new year, Chris Storyteller has completed everything in Wizard City and is now in Krokotopia...

And by everything, I mean EVERYTHING, including the completely optional Sunken City. I was trying to get Chris St. some experience to push him to Level 18 - all of the quests I had completed in Wizard City only brought him to Level 17 with around 2800+ EXP out of 4350. I tried farming trolls but getting 350 for Blood of Giants(I had gotten the last Gobbler badge) was an experience of boredom... so I decided to risk Sunken City despite horror stories of those who died at Level 17 and started realm-hopping to find a group taking it on at this ungodly hour...

The first time I got to Norton with the help of a Pyromancer, but he went A.F.K. and was kicked off the server so I had to leave as I was not insane enough to solo Norton - who didn't have an hourglass. (Am I the only one who makes a reference to a main character in a Piers Anthony novel instead of an anti-virus program company?)

Luckily, I got into a better group consisting of a Level 82 fellow member of Balance(who played a lute for a weapon, but was unable to add me to her friends list as it was full) and a Theurgist who did pretty decently. Then there were this other guy who did nothing but laugh. Chris St. managed to finish off Grubb after the Theurgist, Talon, shaved off 900 HP with a buffed Seraph.

In other news... Chris managed to win a Cyclops statue so he only needs the Wraith to complete his collection of Wizard City statues...

And he got ANOTHER Colossus Statue from Gobblestone on the SECOND battle with him(and last - I was not farming him, so help me Bartleby!) so it's chilling in the shared bank until I get Chris Talesmith the Ice House. So now Chris is busy with the Pyramid to get to Niles so he can get his third quest spell, Mander Minion, which is supposedly a great minion to have. Bwa ha ha!:D

Amber also got some quality time today and not just with gardening. (Protip - Orange Dandelions may be Dandelions but do NOT plant them until you are a Initiate Gardener and have reached Mooshu as you need the Rank 4 Pest spell to get rid of Exploding Gnats. :()

She got through the Ironworks solo(note to self: never fight Old Smokey, the Scroungers spam Death Shield) and defeated Pops O'Leary. She tackled all of the sidequests before Newgate but got pulled into Knight's Court a lot by Aaron Deathflame, who kept begging for help. Realm switch time!

Not saying that Amber hates the friends - she DID help Aaron get through Sunken City, which means that I went through that accursed place(and fought three random encounters we could have avoided) and got a second attempt to win the Wraith statue from Grubb. No dice. :p
That let her finish up Mirkolm Keep with the help of a nice fellow Necromancer called simply Blake. In return, he asked her to help fight Jotun...
"Uhm... Blakey, not to be rude or anything but... ARE YOU $*@#*ING INSANE!?!?!" O_O
And I won't offend him for him going straight for Jotun without doing the side dungeons and taking out his brothers first. It wasn't IMPOSSIBLE, but Amber had to flee and chug potions like a frat boy would have done to keggers last night at midnight. UGH! Blake had to flee once but Amber pulled that Treasure Card Satyr she had pulled from a while back and revived him from defeat so he wouldn't have to flee near the end, when Amber's Skeletal Pirate was buffed enough to take out over 3000 HP from Jotun, leaving him at 308 HP.

......

I think Amber's well qualified to take on Mt. Olympus now. <_<
