Returning to Cryo-Sleep.. for NOW

II truly apologize for lack of updates. To be honest, I may let my pre-paid time run out on my accounts for the time being as (1) I am waiting on the people at the local airport to call me and tell me when I start going to work [four hours a day but it's actually six because I have to take the public bus and you can never tell with public transportation] so I can get a lot more money to buy Game Cards with and hopefully give my Wizards lovely gift bundles and (2) wait for it...

I've been playing The Sims 3 lately, running a couple of families. I like how you don't have to spin in place, you can just pause the game. It has no story to it but I make up my own stories. I've already started a family who have names similar to the schools of magic in Pigswick Academy. This is Earth Wysteria, who is a PlantSim. ^_^

I am not trying to say I am abandoning Wizard101, it's just that the Lost Pages events were a bit tiresome and I don't really feel like farming for reagents for Chris Storycrafter to make his Celestian Observatory yet because he needs to become a Grandmaster Artisan to craft some of the rare treasure cards. Oh, and did I mention that Sierra is going to craft an Observatory too? Heck yeah, I'm a masochist. X_X

Also, I don't want to send Amy through Twin Giants as that's the last battle area before Xilbalba, the final dungeon of Azteca, and she's Level 93 now. Yep, she hasn't even Khrysalis Part 1 yet and she's close to max level. I want to wait until Part 2 of Khrys drops so they expand the level limit to 100 and Amy won't waste any experience even though I AM SURE all the quests and side-quests in Khrysalis combined will more than make up for the minor loss of EXP for maxing level when the level limit rises yet again during Lent(mid-March, which I hope is when KI updates Wizard101 to complete Khrysalis). And don't get me started on their "future projects"!

I'm taking a break from Wizard101 so I can save the allowance cash I get from my parents to get one of the expansions of The Sims 3 I am missing(Generations, I'm looking at you) or maybe a month of time with Pirate101 - I had bought Jonah Town on my sub-account but I realize that I will have to have a subscription to even stand a chance of exploring past Skull Island since they made me pay 750 crowns for a small area with no monsters in it. *sigh*

If something cool happens in-game for me or they drop Khrys Part 2, I will update this blog. Until them, peace out for now.

There Is A--- (Lost Pages Have Returned!)

When I started out with Amy moons ago, the thing that made my boring quests in Wizard City and Krokotopia bearable was this, the Lost Pages quest chain. It was a neat subplot about a group of students called the Carpe Diem society who stumbled upon a cursed demonic spellbook called The Lost Pages that Boris Tallstaff stupidly left out for them to read and caused them to go insane and turn the monsters in the world to Spellwrit mutants.

Guess what?

*pumps fist in glee*

And NOW Amy is able to access ALL of the areas in the game up to Twin Giants so I can FINALLY get her to complete the full quest line! Woo! And since I have a couple who can handle most of the tough enemies in Azteca, I can get their badges too!

Sorry, you came here for updates, right? Sorry, but this will be short as I am running some of my wizards through the Lost Pages events. Here is how far I can get most of them:

• Amy: Can do ALL of them
• Amber and Chris Storycrafter: Can do all of them since they can port to Amy
• Mindy: Can do four as I will probably finish up the Grotto and get to the Floating Land
• Monica: Can do three if I bust my butt and get her to defeat the Plague Oni, or just have Amber port her to the Burial Grounds
• Rachel: MIGHT be able to do three if I have her port but she hasn't finished Marleybone
• Everyone else: Can do the first two if I bust my butt and get Sunmancer and Dragonwhisper to to defeat Krokohamen - you don't have to defeat Itennu to get to Khai Amahte's area, where the Dee's Mirror is as I found out while doing Rachel's Heckhound quest

Happy post-Valentine's Day! Sorry for not updating but I didn't play Wizard101 for two days because I was a bit bored with it, but I did manage to push some stuff through, so here goes...

Amy: "Buddy, I DEFINE good luck." :)

First off, Amy Mistcloud, my strongest Wizard. She FINALLY got through the last part of Pitch Black Lake, defeated the Moon Quest boss Ekech Chauh whatever(thanks to a Death Henchman) and got through the Floating Mountains pretty easily. (Jasmine Emeraldheart joined in the first boss battle.) And now...

Amy: "You are blind! I am not a bird!" :(

We are at Twin Giants, the final area of Azteca!

And we have to fight Belloq and his Ra Cheat again. *cries*

Let's not talk about how difficult the first quest here is - the enemies are those bone turtles who are ICE ELEMENTAL AND SPAM FROST GIANT AND FROSTBITE! *cries louder*

I gifted a few packs to Amber, who is now at the Labyrinth(and managed to get through Kensignton Park with Amy's help), and she got another bobblehead to her collection, woo! She also managed to purchase her second house, the Wizard's Watchtower! WOO! (I had a picture of the bobblehead, the Pike Del Lago one, but Blogger hates the last pictures I took of Amber and refused to load them.)

Chris Storycrafter also got his first Star Chalice! One step closer to making his Observatory! I can see why Stephen Spiritcaller swore off of crafting after he made his own Observatory. :(

Chris Sunmancer - still stuck in the Chamber of Fire...

 I have been neglecting Sunmancer and Dragonwhisper but I will try to get back to them eventually. As I said before, I will be employed so I will have to work and won't be at my computer four hours of the day, maybe more, so I can't promise anything. If I do work on them, I will let you know. Ciao!

If it ain't broke...

Well, it turns out we couldn't take on Malistaire at 2:10 AM in the morning, since everyone else was in bed, so we had to wait until sunrise to see if anyone was willing to help Mindy and Chris St. out. I am not saying these two couldn't take on Malistaire's lair by themselves, it's just that they would have had to flee a lot more than they would with two others, and it never hurts to have a friend to support.

Chris: "You know what, Mal?"

Chris: "(bleep) YOU."

But in the end, those two punished Malistaire in the name of Venus and love, and Malistaire and his wife were reunited once more... again. (Amy defeated him the last time, and Chris had to help Sophia Shadowspear, but you know the whole story about THAT.) Mindy packed a ton of Otomo Fury cards in her side-deck, because as I said, Orthrus sucks when you're fighting anyone but a Myth Shielder. We want to thank Mr. Hawkwind(who had to log out before he could reach the final battles) and someone else who briefly joined for the Gurtok battles.  Both of our heroes fell to less than 2000 health but survived, regardless.

LOOT:

Chris: "Are you KIDDING ME!?!!?" Mindy: "Jealous much?" ;p

Yeah, Mindy got her final piece of Grandmaster Gear from Mal, the robe, but Chris was denied even when he wasted half of our remaining crowns there on the second-chance chest. (TWO Dragonfire Cloaks? SERIOUSLY? Well, Sunmancer will be happy.)

 

I decided to have Chris decline the quest to get the key to Celestia (fail: You can't do that - fine, I just won't let him take the door until that quest is done) as I wanted to do the Warehouse first. Yeah, it's evil, but KI was trying to start off the second Evil arc and they did a great job with this quest chain... it's just that the boss cheats were a bit stupid. No offense, KI, but could you have toned the cheating bosses down a bit? (cough cough Jabberwock and Young Morganthe cough cough) (I won't bore you with the details but we got through it okay. Now maybe I can focus on my other wizards...)

Speaking of cheating bosses, the Midnight Sun Pagoda! Yep, Taylor, the fourth member of the Malistaire run who only helped with the Gurtoks, invited Mindy and Chris to a Midnight Sun Pagoda she found in a castle tour, which was a lot harder even at Tier 2 because I sort of forgot the Samoorai Quartet are cheaters and spam proc attacks if you use Area of Attacks, so they are no nos. They had to flee battle to use a potion. The last pig guy was easier because Taylor used Stormzilla on him when he dropped guard.

Mindy: "FINALLY!"

Mindy FINALLY got her Master Artisan Badge with a lot of help from Ames, who got all of her Agave Nectar, thank goodness. Just needed one more turquoise for the war shield. Mistcloud farmed a lot of black lotuses while gathering agave in Mangrove Marsh(stupid birds) and a couple of Black Pearls dropped too!

He's about to get PWNED. :)

Amy also completed the Chronus quest thanks to a fellow Thaumaturge and a necro who kept getting beaten up by the Lost Shades until several Lords of Winter took them out, and Amy did the killing blow to Chronus. She got a nice ice toga, the Senator's Windfall Toga, which is better armor. It does drop her stats a bit but it'll do until we force Hades to cough up the Unseen Raiment. ^_^

Well, at least it isn't Brimstone Revenant!

After many many fights with the Lore Master, Mindy Goldheart learned a spell from her!

It isn't Ninja Pigs, sadly. This is useless with Mindy as she gets zero boosts from it and the stun is useless as bosses are immune to stun and Mindy will get a cooler mythical beast that stuns for TWO rounds in five levels! *cries*

I also should mention that I wasted 400 Crowns on the Lore Master's second-chance chest and got junk for it. Ugh. So much for being frugal. :(

But we did get a lore spell so that was cool.

As for the story, Mindy and Chris are at the Dragon's Roost and ready to take down Mal, which will happen tonight, despite the fact that Mindy hasn't even finished her crafting quests in Dragonspyre. Those Black Pearls are EVIL. But, since Chris already got the Crown of Fire stone rose(one of the previous posts told of how he got it early), he got to get the stone rose quest completed and Zeke gave him a training point which he happily upgraded to the next Sun enchant, so now Mal will be easy. ^_^

Amy: "Oh gawd, not this again!" :(

Also, I apologize to Amy. I totally did not see the Forum side-quest when she was going through at Level 52 and when I found it for the others, I had to send her back there to check and yep, she didn't do it either so she was a bit behind in experience. Oops... please don't go crazy on me again with a relapse after what happened when I made you go through those towers solo! At least your fellows have friends in my other wizards to help!

Amber has yet to complete the Crucible, sorry. I am just wanting to get Chris and Mindy to Celestia that I forgot about her... and Monica(still in Mooshu) and Rachel(still in Marleybone) and... ugh, the rest are still in Krokotopia. :(

At least we got the Kraysys Myth Boots for Mindy. I finally got rid of those pack boots for Amber and Mindy, woo! Well, short update but I'll update more later.

Oh hello again, folks! Just a large update on a few of my favorite characters. First off, as you can tell from the shot above, Chris and Mindy hit Level 52! Good news: They only have one more area to clear before the Great Spyre. Bad news: Mindy STILL hasn't crafted her two robes for Balthazar and gotten her Master Artisan badge yet. Even Amber has reached the last task! Sheesh!

I am loving this Feint Amulet Mindy wears, it's going to be on her 24/7 until she gets Potent Trap ^_^

But a quick recap - Chris and Mindy got through the Great Chasm pretty easily and opened the way to Dragonspyre Academy, met Ashley the Fire Tree, and then... I left them for a while to help Sierra, but then...

Mindy: "Shut up and vomit up my hat, you Morganthe wannabe!" Chris: "Sheh, spoilers!"

Ugh. I HATE YEVA. She not only was cut-and-paste for Young Morganthe (including her love of eight legged chitins) but she REFUSED to drop the Grandmaster hat for Mindy until 25 battles. I did manage to get the Grandmaster Hat for Amber and now both stitched some nice hats - though I changed my mind about Amber's hat and bought one with all her money to be her new siggie hat.

Mindy: "Meh, don't know how that Sophia Shadowspear had so much trouble with this guy, he's cake!" ^_^

We managed to clear the Crystal Grove...

And we got the Dragon Rider Staff... which only Chris is keeping until he beats Malistaire. Mindy dumped it for a glowing orange spear she got from my glutting of Crowns packs after getting another 5000 Crowns(and another month of pre-paid time for the Sailor Wizards) before Pack-A-Palooza left.

STILL NO NINJA PIGS. :(

Can't believe I am ACTUALLY using stun spells, but those gauntlets are PAINFUL.

After much selling of loot, Chris FINALLY got the recipe for his Dream House, the Celestial Observatory. And yes, he'll be buying every one of those recipes when he gets more loot, which is why he isn't using his money to hatch pets yet. His fox is still great, but eventually I will have to get a pet with some healing talents, Celestia is the beginning of evil. :(

Chris: "Yeah, well, we're going to have to take the payment of those gems out of your boots. Hand them over!"

We also reached the OTHER Grandmaster Gempot, Kraysys, who has Mindy's and Amber's boots. Sadly, we didn't get the boots but...

Rachel, who is pyromancer on my main account and who you are seeing for the first time, got a picture of her beloved professor to enshrine in her pagoda. Yeah, Krays dropped the Falmea portrait.

Speaking of other Sailor Wizards, Amy had a lot of help getting through Tierra De Brea and Amber helped with some of the bosses - she even took out a Thunder Horn Zombie with a buffed up Wraith!

Amy: "Are you sure YOU shouldn't be the one here, Amber?"

Amber: *grin*

So now Amy is in the middle of Pitch Black Lake and trying to get into the Pyramid of Mother Moon, no doubt to find more evil Shadow Weavers or worse and a nasty boss which is probably Ice.

And unfortunately, this weirdo Marleybonian is STILL trying to find fool's gold. Well, let's hope she doesn't get eaten by some terror wings in Twin Giants. See ya! ^_^

Amy Goes To Heck AGAIN! (Tartarus, Part 2)

Amy: "You know, I would give you a non-snarky answer if you looked me in the eyes. *cough cough*

Hades: "CURSE THOSE STUPID CAMERA ANGLES!!! AUUUUGH!"

Remember last post, when I said Amy could go to Tartarus now and failed to complete it due to bad circumstances? Well...

Zeus: "YOU HESISTATE TOO-- URK!" Amy: "STFU!!!" :(

Yeah, Amy got a second shot at it thanks to a group with two pyros and a diviner. Brandon Swiftsword seemed to be the leader of the group and was a cheerleader to the extreme, helping everyone through the battles. The battle with the heads of Cerberus still wasn't easy, and Hades wiped out the other pyro and then used his cheat to put heal over times on everyone, but Brandon took Hades out with Efreet and Amy was buffed up to the max and was able to one-shot Zeus, who had the most health. Yeah, that was awesome! ^_^

Sadly, we got none of Hades' gear, we got the Zeus helmet and Poseidon trident, which I might make Amy's signature weapon. We also got some rare reagents which was good since I found out you can't transmute Agave leaves until you complete the Crafting quest. PHAIL.

Amy: "Been there, done that, got the amber." :p

I forgot to mention that she actually went to Tart between the Hades' attempts, but the guys wanted didn't get a full team so one guy said "Let's do Cronus", and Amy had to help fight the secret boss of Tartarus, Cronus(a palette-swapped Zeus who is Sun-elemental). Even though one person logged out in the mid-battle, Amy and the other guy won and Amy got some Amber and a Merle's Whisker.

Lord of Winter also pwned the Sand Squid(my most hated boss to date, all those dang Earthquakes that happen when you heal, we had to flee a couple of times so we failed to get any rare loot) and the Gladiator Dima(that's all I am saying, I can't pronounce his name) with two low-level mooks. Chris Storycrafter may have survived a battle with that guy but only because he waited until the dread bones were dead. *sigh*

Amy got some better shoes but not much else. She also walked away with three new shiny badges and then continued on Azteca, helping someone fight Cizin Seven Death(but she bailed mid-fight).

Chris J.: Could this get any more obviously G**? <>_<>

In other news, I have been advancing my lesser wizards a bit. All of them are now Level 19 and have completed their Level 18 spell quests. I've bought a wand from Valentina Heartsong and it will be the signature weapon of Chris Jadehaven as it looks pretty cool(even though it's supposed to symbolize a pair of wedding rings, the shape of the rings is Escherish and thus isn't too obvious).

Plan to work on Chris and Mindy tonight but might delay due to the Winter Olympics opening ceremony airing tonight. Cheers! ^_^

Yeah, that was like years ago! I had created a whole bunch of other wizards (including the first incarnation of Amber Rainbow, who was Balance) but you were my first Sailor Senshi Wizard, based on Sailor Mercury, and I was writing a whole bunch of Powerpoints about you. I had stopped when I got my new computer because it didn't have Powerpoint and the substitute was horrible.

Amy: "Ice AGAIN? Dang it!" :(

But look at you now! You've come so far...

Amy: "I had help, Chairman."

Chris Storycrafter: "BURN, YOU [CUT FOR CUSSING]!!!"

Yeah, with a lot of help and 1000 Crowns worth of henchs, but you got through to this part. You defeated a lot of Shadow Weavers. (Gliders: BANE OF MY EXISTENCE, CURSE THEIR BLADE-DESTROYING SPELLS!!!!)

 You took out quite a few bosses...

You can't see it but the screen is shaking like mad here.

Amy: "And I ran for my life when Morganthe appeared in the Calmac Library and brought it down around her ears! YIKES!!!"

Yeah, that was intense, but you were directed to a talking stone head...

Amy: "It was a long road, but the road to Khryalis is almost over... I'm about to go to the hereafter."

Normally, you'd think she was dying, but no, she's literally going to H-E-!-!...

Or more importantly, the Greek version.

Yep, I finally got my first wizard to Level 90! Woo! ^_^

So you know what THAT means, don't you?

Now I know why they are called "HARPIES!" X_X

I finally get to see Tartarus, the final dungeon in Aquila! YAYSO!!! <^_^<

And not only did Tartarus open up, but so did the secret bosses in Mt. Olympus and Atlantea. We won't be doing them yet without a team of mooks.

Speaking of mooks, there are a LOT of them hanging around the Screaming Gate, so Amy managed to get in with some guys...

Amy: *blinks in confusion*

Well, that's a bad omen. :( (On the first turn!)

Needless to say, it was indeed a living nightmare, as we got lots of critical hits on the team, Noah got disconnected, Amy got lost trying to find her way to Charon and then Matthew forbade Amy from helping assemble Sstheno's urn. :(

Amy: "Ugh... really?"

Then Cerberus destroyed all of Amy's blades making her Lord of Winter do crud damage. Then the healer had to leave, so we were down to two people against Hades and his brothers and the only one left got slain after Amy did her second Lord - and she was doomed to Reshuffle, so she bailed.

Better luck next time, Amy! I mean, we can't all be robot hermits and ignore life. If it were that easy, then we wouldn't have war or food or toilets. Even now...

I have a confession: I was offered a position in an airport and I have to start working there to get an actual paycheck, no more borrowing money. It will require me to wear a uniform and be on my feet for four hours straight five days a week. Which means I won't be able to play Wizard101 24/7 anymore. It's a necessity to get more money in hopes of getting back my PS3 and getting a PS Vita as well as more Crowns. So, sadly, I won't be able to update as often soon. Life is funny like that.

Oh well, I'll just have to log back in after I have supper. Hopefully I'll find a group who won't bail on Amy the next time. Happy rise to Promethean anyways, Ames!

Sour grapes: Even if I did beat Hades and his brothers solo(which is impossible to do), he would have dropped a great hat that Amy would be forced to wear, removing her nice hair as I don't have any Crowns to stitch it with. I have to ride the bus to Gamestop to get her time extended as the pre-paid time is due to run out soon, then I have to get more Crowns for her to stitch the hat. Ugh.

(Also, I have done a few quests with the lesser Chris Wizards to get them some experience. It'll be a while before I get back to them as I have to fight a lot of mobs.)
