Quests, quests, questy quest!

Amy: "Yep, so hand it over with a stupid boss battle or I'll swat you with this giant fly-swatter!" >_<

Update time! A lot has happened, and Amy Mistcloud has made a lot of progress. First off, she finally completed the Sun School quest(or did I mention that last update) and got Potent Trap and Sharpened Blade, which really helped her battle status a bunch. (The fly swatter is an awesome looking new weapon she got from a boss drop that is a lightning wand.)

Of course, Lydia did not take kindly to threats and Amy was forced to do unspeakable things in Azteca... uh no, actually, this is a shot of the Thunder Horn Zombie (in the solo vs. three boss fight she had to win to get the spell) using Colossus, and the camera can't see through leaves. <_>

Amy got defeated twice(due to the boss immediately casting the strongest Myth attack in existence as of now) but I used a Youtube guide to help me get through this fight and now...

Excuse me as I laugh like an Evil Genius. This spell is great for weakening bosses and taking away all their power pips so they don't spam their mighty attacks.

That's gotta leave a mark. ^_^

Before she got Lord of Winter, Amy and Amber worked together(with a pyromancer called Patrick Firewraith) and now both girls are Briskbreeze Champions. The reason they look like twins is because I had to downgrade Amy's hair as the hat she got from Atlantea, the special laurel, gave her a huge resist to fire which I needed to deal with the fire monkeys to get Sun Spells in Azteca. She had to wear a lizard hat to boost her myth and death resist. She will be switching hats a lot but not too much as most of the future boss battles are not solo. But at least, Amy can cross off Briskbreeze tower - and she took 37 levels to do it! I hate Angus Hollowsoul and Orick Nightglider. Luckily Patrick took out the Stompers before they shielded up Orick to infinity and beyond.

Chris: "That's it? Two floors? I was ready to take on four!"
Speaking of quests, Chris Storycrafter managed to bum an oyster bed of Black Pearl from Amber and other stuff to complete Balthazar's remaining two quests and is now a Master Artisan and can craft his final house, the Celestial Observatory - that is, once he gets to Celestia and has the money to buy it, I've been sending loot Sierra's way so she can afford her Red Barn Farm... and she's going for all three crafted houses so that's another Celestial Observatory on the way!

He managed to get to the Crucible and learn where to get the crystal - he didn't have to wait until Crystal Grove, thank Bartleby, but... he has to re-fight the Plague Oni...

Which is what Monica Stormglen has to go through to get HER next spell quest done, so it looks like I'll spend the weekend going through Mooshu again. Joy of joys. *sigh*

At least one blessing is here - Chris got the Death Grandmaster wand, a cool glowing blade, from Ivan Soulsinger, so it's replaced his glowing axe.

I'll work on an update for Sierra and tell of her remaining adventures in Wizard City - she is now in Krokotopia and working on the Pyramid of Fire. She got wiped from the Death Pixies once because I forgot about Mindy's trial with them and forgot they spam Death Shield and Sunbird. Luckily, a Treasure Card Earthquake took out their Spirit Armors and despite a fizzle, she finished off the last one with Cyclops but was in critical health. Ouch. Well, being a wizard is never easy! Ciao for now!

Wow, seriously?

Yeah, I did not update for a long time, and I sincerely honestly apologize for that. I was play The Sims 3 yesterday and didn't play much Wizard101 then. Also, I just got off with the person who is my career consultant after filling out a job application. Yep, if this works out I will be gainfully employed and have less time to play Wizard101 but more money for Crowns. It's a fair exchange.

Anyways, onto the forlorn update...

Chris: "I am a wizard, big difference." Rendor: "Not in this world, boy."
Mindy: "Aaaw, I can't believe I am doing an essay report for Cyrus Dragonnose. Wah!" Cyrus: >_<
 • On Monday, I spent all day getting Chris Storycrafter and Mindy Goldheart all the way to the Drake Hatchery. Both got their Level 48 spell quests from their professor, but sadly they were balked by the fact that we have to go deeper into Dragonspyre. I could have Amy port her fellow Sailor Senshi Wizard to the Labyrinth, but I want to be legit and make sure Chris and her lover - not really, lolz - get to the Labyrinth together. Amber's early visit to Dimitri was a fluke due to an on-line friend needing help, but this is no joke - Mindy has to fight a boss.
Amy: "Snakes?! Why does it have to be SNAKES?!!? EWWWW!"
 • Later that night, Amy got through Mangrove Marsh and Saltmeadow Swamp. She got help from Jasmine Emeraldheart in fighting Ciquox Nine Shadows(though her player had to afk to pick up some laundry) and she got help from a guy called Josh Seabringer to get through the tough boss fights in the Swamp and he saved Amy from that baboon freak Ponce De Gibbon's evil cheat, though for some reason it never triggered.

Speaking of evil Spanish monkey men, Amy got the Sun School quest from Pacal, and Amy had to beat up some traitors to Ponce De Gibbon who stole the Sun Shards... they were all fire, easy pe--

WRONG. I lost 200 Crowns(the first summoning of the life gorilla failed for some reason) and everyone got wiped out. After ten more attempts, I looked up a deck list to help me beat these jerks and, well...

Yeah, have to go back to the old Waterworks robe and the Atlantean hair as it was necessary to bump up Amy's resistance to fire by a lot - those jerks were spamming Meteor Strike and Burnzilla so much that Ditto Wizard would have been angry as Hades for stealing his shtick! And they criticaled a lot and Amy couldn't block them! GAAAAAH! But we won even though we are now down to 7 Crowns due to the hiring of one more life gorilla to save Amy's hide. I can't figure out how to solo this fight without henchmen, which is going to be a challenge for Sierra when SHE gets there.

So Amy now has Sharpened Blade and Potent Trap to be able to stack Feints and blades and do a lot more damage, making battles a lot easier. Her first battle with her new spells was a hurried battle helping Jasmine Emeraldheart in a tough boss battle... in Khrys. I do like the new battle music, though.

Sadly, we don't have money to stitch back the blue hair, so she's stuck like this until after Valentine's Day because I won't get any money until the weekend before that account runs out of time and we get booted back to Wizard City, so I need to extend it with my next game card. UGH! (I am sort of glad that I am getting applied for a job at the nearby airport, even if I have to stand on my feet for four hours a day, because I can't keep living off $10 a week for game cards and I would love to re-purchase the PS3 I sold to get $90 of Game Cards. Lesson learned!)

Amy: "Be grateful you don't have to work in a sewer!" *retch*
 • Even though I played The Sims 3 last night, I did get Amy through the first part of the next part of Azteca, which was helping restore the great statue of Aztlan to its former glory. Now... she had to deal with a Thunder Horn mega-ghoul and its minion, and both are ice-element. *sigh*
Right now I am updating my Frugal Wizard blog, but I will try to get back to getting Chris and Mindy to their respective contacts for their spell quests this weekend as well as get Amy closer to Khrysalis. In the meantime, I'll see you later! Ciao for now!

Just a heads-up...

I decided to take a short hiatus from the wizards I have to start work on my new blog, which is going to detail the adventures of a frugal conjurer called Sierra Fairyfriend, which I replaced my ice wizard in my sub-account with. I got a nice $20 gift card with a Wildclaw pet and now she has 5000 Crowns to work with. I plan on having her conserve all of her gold, never buy things from the bazaar she can get from enemy drops, and save up her money to buy a Red Barn Farm. I will be making a blog for her by recycling one of my many unused blogs, so check that place when it opens!

Not to say I won't play Chris and Mindy and the others - they'll help SIERRA (Gah, I hate it when I find out I typed the wrong name :<( ) fight bosses and give her stuff like reagents and treasure cards. Friends help each other, right? ^_^

Mindy: "Okay, this is not funny, Amy! When I said I couldn't wait to see Azteca, IT WAS A FIGURE OF SPEECH!!!"

On another note, Mindy had to help some guy with Katz's Lab but he left and Mindy ported to him to... Three Points. *head kisses desk* I should have befriended Jasmine Shadowheart to help her. Oh well, Mindy had business to take care of...

Chris: "Mindy?" Mindy: "Yes, darling?" Chris: "Let's skin this delusional freak."

Like slaying that evil lying S.O.D.(son of a drake) Zarathax to clear the Tower Archives. Both she and Chris got the Stone Rose and book there. When I play them again, time to head to the Plaza! :)

Ciao for now, and be sure to check out my new blog when it comes up! I'll post a link in the next update for this blog when it comes.

Big Update for Chris and Mindy!

Chris Storycrafter: "ARE YOU ****ING SERIOUS? YOU FORGOT TO DO THIS TUTORIAL?!?!?!"
Yeah, I sort of forgot this Diego battle tutorial with Chris Storycrafter until now, oops! <_<

Anyways, welcome back to my blog! Big update today for Chris Storycrafter!

First off, he got the alert from Merle to visit Grizzleheim again to meet the king. (Well, Merle alerted him but didn't have any quest for him. I think the programmers didn't think to put that in.)

He and Mindy did manage to take down Grittir but I was not sure about them successfully taking out the many many bosses of the next area, so I put off Jotun for now... as in when Chris is Grandmaster and has the Strong spell to boost his attacks.

The Death Oni is about to be wrecked by a Baslisk, courtesy of Treasure Cards.
However, he and Mindy worked together to complete the Tree of Life and take down the Death Oni. I was confused when "The Purifier" badge didn't show up until after the next part, when I remembered to collect the reward from Oakheart and friends in the dojo. Doh! I chanced the second chance chest and Chris got the Death Oni's boots which replaced his current shoes, even if they look dorky.

Ninja Pigs: "Get out of here, you demon pachyderm! We won't let you conquer our homeland! HYA!!!!"
Thanks to heavy buffing, Mindy used her Treasure Cards to take down the Death Oni and the Jade Oni. Even though she's 1.1 levels away from getting her Level 48 spells, it's just a bigger Minotaur, which means I'd have to Feint twice, so yeah, Minotaur and Orthrus suck. They do take out a Myth Shield but Mindy has Shatter and Pierce, she doesn't need that. Ninja Pigs is far better.

Oops. Sorry, Helpful Mander. I should have guessed Cy was gonna summon the Pukefrog. (Didn't get to do anything)
Then came the usual required match against Cyrus, which Mindy is gonna have to repeat to get the sucky Orthrus spell. Both Chris and Mindy took a lot of damage...

Yikes, that's one gal I don't want to make out with! O_O
But they did fine, although Chris's minions(he got the Storm Elemental when he used Spectral Minion and Helpful Mander, as you saw above, didn't get to do anything before Humongo took him out) were much nicer than Mindy's, who kept busting her Feints. I was glad they were wiped out. I can't wait to get the better minions for these two, which are hardier and are telegraphable. Freddo did pretty well with Amy in a few solo fights.

So the two got to Dragonspyre okay. Mindy's lagging a bit in experience but I expect it's because her spell quests gave less experience than Chris's. They both joined separate groups in fighting the Loremaster but only got a lot of Treasure Cards, but Mindy got a ultra-rare Savage Paw card, which will be saved for some later boss because it's Balanceblade side effect is awesome. Once these two get Legendary Artisan, Savage Paw is going to be a staple in their boss decks. ^_^

In other news, Amy manages to inch a little closer in the Mangrove Marsh: She got the War Challenge back from the Tritops Ghoul(I can't remember these names), got into Tula Village and barely survived the battles with all the bird-folk. But I'm not going to fight Ciqolx(not spelled right) Nine Shadows until one of her friends is online and available, as these bosses are getting brutal. I know the difficulty has to spike to keep it challenging, but I had to buy another henchmen to get through that last boss battle! *sigh*

Monica: "Forgetting someone?"
And yes, the other wizards are being neglected, but at least I got half of Monica's Level 38 spell quest done by having Amber help her run through Sunken City again. Yep, that's what that weird chest you can't open contains. So now Monica... has to get through Katz's lab to get to Mooshu and the Plague Oni. Ugh, I really really hate it, but it has to be done, so do it I will.

Ciao for now! Keep watching for more updates!

Pets, Pets, Pets!!! (For lack of a better title)

Sorry about not updating for a while but I had a lot of ground to cover. Here is a little update on what has been happening in Wizard101 for me.

First off, I deleted Chris Talesmith. I decided that playing another Thaumaturge after Amy was a bit boring so I created another Conjurer instead. Meet Sierra Fairyfriend, the Frugal Wizard. I am going to retool one of my blogs to detail her adventures when I get around to them. In the meantime, she is just chilling in Ambrose's office, waiting for her time to shine. What I plan on doing with her is not using Crowns for her except for stitching clothes and buying a castle elixir as I plan on having her own all three of the craftable houses as well as a Red Barn Farm to garden for reagents while Sunmancer grows Couch Potatoes for Mega Snacks. I am going to be penny-pinching with her until she gets enough to buy a Red Barn Farm, but I bought a permanent broom for her and transferred the axe I had on Talesmith for her so she can get a pip-giving weapon until she gets the Sky Iron Hasta.

In other news, Chris Storycrafter's fairy collection has grown thanks to a successful hatching with Monica's Carnation Pixie. So now he has the Myth Sprite, regular Sprite and Carnation Pixie. Next up, farming Smogger ad nauseum to get the Pixie Queen... @_@

Monica got her own Polar Fox which she took through Katzenstein's Lab, having finished up Knight's Court... and the game did not recognize her going through the dungeon with Amber, so she has to re-do the dungeon again solo. (cries) Stupid game bug!

But in the meantime, he and Mindy are working together to get through Mooshu and I got them past the Plague Oni last night. I will spend nights with those two to get them to Dragonspyre and get work on there and hopefully Chris and Mindy will be taking Malistaire by Valentine's Day. (If there was romantic content in Wizard101, they would go on a date, they are so close in experience. Ha ha.)

More serious matters aside, Chris and Mindy also tried to go through Mt. Olympus and Ares destroyed them, so Chris found a group... only to learn that they were only here to take out the Level 90 Secret Boss, Evil Banjo. Oops. After waiting for a long time for them to finish, Chris rolled his eyes and joined the battle, and surprisingly he didn't take any damage(Evil Banjo was trying to kill the Promethean) and so...

Chris got a pet drop. Yep, the one pet which has the talents I need, the Enchanted Armament, was dropped. Woo! So now Chris has a nice coat of arms which gives him a free Sharpened Blade long before he even sees Azteca. One of the Promethean, a Necromancer called Finnegan, helped Chris get through the dungeon and fight Zeus(who killed Chris but Finnegan healed him, thanks!); sadly, Zeus just dropped another laurel, but I did get the Storm Toga from the Promethean Guard, so I may have to recheck the loot drops from this dungeon so I can get a nice toga for Chris to replace his ugly top-collar robe. Still, 1% chance and Chris Storycrafter got the Armament! I bet the higher level wizards were jealous! :)

As for Amber Rainbow, I forgot to mention that she got the Scarecrow spell, thanks to having to help someone get through the Labyrinth. I thought the game wouldn't let you port into a dungeon you haven't reached normally(it doesn't for some) but it seems it works here, so she got to chat with Dimitri Ironchains to get the quest ball rolling and now she's Crowing up a storm like Zenmaster Blue. Bwa ha ha ha! XD

Amy is helping her through Dragonspyre in hopes that soon Amber will become a Grandmaster (she's 88% of the way to Level 50) and then Amy will escort her to Celestia to learn Strong and begin her training in Sun spells, making her powerful. ^_^

And Jasmine Emeraldheart helped Amy fight Belloq #2, which - even with the cheat - was impossible to do solo. Poor Jas was tired so I assume she was staying up late. I tend to do that a lot too. Ha ha!

As for my other wizards... I will work on them off-time, or when my main wizards get past Malistaire. I hope to bring you updates on them soon. Ciao for now!

If it's too good to be true... IT IS!

Hello, ladies and germs! This is a quick and picture-heavy update! Also - never believe the free Wizard101 codes, they make you take an online survey and I gave personal information to two companies, so I am going to be stuck deleting a lot of spam from my e-mail about travel companies and GameFly. *sigh*

My main Chris, Mr. Storycrafter, did some castle tours after learning that he could use them to utilize the various cool stuff in some of the places like the gift gorilla... sadly, he did not get any of the bundle castles in his tour, though he DID find a place which had the one-time-only photo of celebrity Selena Gomez, who was only in the Spiral during the beta days of Crab Alley, when King Thermidor was chasing her skirt. He he he. :)
Girls: "Your boots are ugly and fat, he he he!" Chris: ;_;
Chris also met some girls to chase who were visiting, but before he could hit on them, they turned him off by making fun of his stupid boots. And I stupidly bought Jonah Town in Pirate101 and forgot that the gift card I got from Dollar General(which I got because Chris would have gotten a Carnation Pixie for his fairy collection - yes, he's going to have all of the fairy pets in his house) was redeemed for my main account because they were lacking in Crowns, so now THIS sub-account is less than 400 Crowns - 100 Crowns will go towards stitching better shoes for Mr. Storycrafter. :p
To recover from the rejection by four girls, Chris crafted the second Possibility Dirk and advanced the Crafting Quest Line to Dragonspyre, which he is FAR from getting to because, well...
I had to get Amy to Azteca NOW, and that meant the horrifying GHOST AVALON. Luckily, Jenna Whitestone helped me out but her two friends who joined us, a guy called Boris and Jesse Boompants <_<, lost connection and were kicked out of the game so it was just me and Jenna against Young Morgie, who was being a b----truck. Luckily, Jenna had somehow inflicted enough damage for me to Colossal Colossus that witch and we just Gnomed the heck out of Sir Mallory for the win. Amy became a Knight of the Silver and Jasmine Emeraldheart agreed to join Amy for the Keep.
And Amy got the mighty Excali--- er, Sword of Kings. Should be Sword of Queens since Amy's going to use it for now. The Ice Trap card it gives sucks, only having 10% boost, but...
Amy: "All bow before Queen Amy and her piggle!" Quetzal: -_-
Pendragon wasn't a pain but the two dragons in the Crystal Caves were - they wiped out Jessica and she had to flee and return. Confession: I had to use life henchs and I used a Polymorph Jaguar Treasure Card I got from a battle in Azteca which I helped Jessica with once someone saved her from defeat by the Unsung Knight(yeah, they killed her). That spell is AMAZING, it restored Amy to full health from nothing with a Brilliant Light Rebirth. ^_^

So Amy's group was down to 201 Crowns, which is why I had to give the next card to them. I also stitched Amy's original Zafaria suit because I loved her in it, it makes her look like a geek. :)

But still, we got Amy to Azteca so she can explore it herself without a friend's help, and she's doing the usual. Eloise gave Amy a quest, which I assume is Azteca's version of the history books.

Anyways, I'm going to focus on everyone else for now - they need some help and Amy needs to farm Halfang forever to get the items for Monica(who now owns the Carnation Pixie) to hatch with Chris so he can get a Carnation Pixie. Ciao for now! :)

Bush tea and other nonsense

Grace: "Eh, having numbers float over your head is a terrible way to enjoy bush tea." :(

Hello! Yesterday was not much of an update on my favorite wizards as some wizards were being neglected - mainly, my two Diviners, Grace Rainsmith(who I created as a nod to one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, Precious Ramotswe of The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, great books for those who love African culture or mysteries)...

Also, Chris Dragonwhisper, who I friended with a fellow player, Cody, who lives in the same apartments as me. I was going to have Chris Storycrafter be his new character's friend(I created him a new Theurgist as his current character had spent his training points for terrible spells like Cloak) but his super-new computer froze when I tried to teleport Christ Storycrafter out of Mooshu, so I had to use a character who hadn't left Wizard City yet. I had Sailor Mars(Rachel Soulpyre), Grace and Monica Stormglen friend my storm Chris, but Rachel did most of the work - she was so powerful she swept through the enemies of Crab Alley without a problem and distracted foe so Chris D. could collect the MacGuffins without being pulled into battle. (I hate the encounter hit boxes in Crab Alley. Yes I do. >_<)

Well, at least after a power marathon, both my storm wizards are ready to quest in the Land of Krok. So now everyone in both of my accounts has gotten access to Krokotopia. (Well, Talesmith still needs to finish up a ton of side-quests in Wizard City, he's the fastest wizard I rushed through Wizard City and he is still only Level 13. Also, now that I have gotten some crowns I can stitch a nice hairstyle to him instead of that ugly horned helmet he's wearing now.)

Amy: "What the Kazooie? I am going insane." :(

Not to say that I had neglected all of my other wizards - Amy DID manage to reach Ghost Avalon. The Grim Seraph she had to kill for the Silver Ladle were annoying but the Dragon Spawn and Cursed Lanterns were stupid and didn't try to blast her with uber spells. (The Spawn were weak - I mean, Amy only got hit with Burnzilla and Magma Colossus, and I was fretting over them invoking Efreet and making it impossible to win.)

So now I have only Ghost Avalon and the Keep of Ganelon to deal with and then Amy can FINALLY get to Azteca... and deal with mobs with 4000 health plus. *cries profusely*

Well, that's for another time. Right now I have to focus a bit more on Amber and Chris Storyteller. The latter needs to get to Dragonspyre and the former needs to get to the Labyrinth to get Scarecrow. Ciao for now! ^_^

HUGE Update!

Hello again and welcome back to the wacky world of Wizard 101! I have sacrificed my sanity and social life to give you... a huge update. This is for wizards on my sub-account and main account!

Let's get started, shall we?

First off, the wizard I spent the most time on, Amy Mistcloud, has finally gotten all the way to the Catacombs after many many bosses which she needed help with. As I may have remarked, soloing bosses now is impossible, even with over 5000 health, due to the ton of damage enemies belt out in the first round. If you are unlucky to go second... well, dig your own grave.

I wish to thank Michelle Dragonheart(forgive me if I said your last name wrong) for getting Amy through Outer Yard and Lake Shore, the ice enemies were returning in force and we usually didn't draw Ice Prisms on the first turn. Then Jasmine Emeraldheart helped Amy through the bosses of Deepwater, thank goodness! I am going to have to step up my game with Chris Storycrafter so he can start helping the other Sailor Scout wizards get through those tough areas!

And now we have to deal with the Catacombs. (cries) But at least we completed the Zeke Crow Hunt and got a training point to go with the two that Friar Nolan gave Amy... she's saving the points for Azteca, when she can get the Sleet Storm aura and replace Amplify with it. And yes, she's stuck with the ugly piggle pet because it gives her a Dragonblade card which acts like Balanceblade and I need a Balanceblade since I was forced to replace her amulet with one that has Convinction because EVERYTHING AND THEIR MOM GETS CRIT-HAX AND AMY CAN'T BLOCK IT!!!

Yes, she CAN learn the spell from Diego with no training points, but she has to win several PvP battles to be promoted to PvP Sergeant, and I'D RATHER HAVE MY GUMS SCRAPED than try to have any of my wizards win a PvP match. >_<

Speaking of girls having progress and problems, Amber Rainbow completed Mooshu in record time - Amy did help her clear the Tree of Life and fight the Jade Oni - and is now starting Dragonspyre and approaching her epic battle with Malistaire... and she has begun farming the Loremaster for spells. She got a few new Treasure Cards and items, but nothing yet. She is now Level 48 and got her spell quest but... she has to go through half of Dragonspyre to get to the guy who knows what to do next. Yeah, she has to visit the Labyrinth and I don't think you can port into it if you haven't visited it. :(

I wanted to show another of my Sailor Scout Wizards, Mindy Goldheart, aka Sailor Venus. She's a Myth wizard and already got her Level 38 spell, which I KNEW was Minotaur Minion. (I sort of cheated and had Amber teleport her to Kishibe Village briefly to get the spell, and surprisingly the boss was easy compared to the last one... which gave a cruddy stun spell.)

Chris Storycrafter is helping Mindy through Hamatsu Village right now as he needs to go through it too. I will probably slow down with Amber and just have her farm the Loremaster ad infintium to get lore spells so Balance Chris and Mindy can catch up. Mindy hasn't done Mirkolm Keep yet so I should work on that too, maybe when the other Chrises catch up. 6_^

And here is my third Sailor Scout Wizard, Sailor Jupiter - Monica Stormglen. True to her nature, she dual-classes in Storm magic but she's a Theurgist and I am having her and Sunmancer start gardening Couch Potatoes. I owe it to Zenmaster Blue for his series on gardening to show me how vital the Tropical Garden Gnomes were and where to get them. Hopefully we will have more Mega Snacks. Monica is already Rank 10 in gardening.

Well, that's it for now. I really like writing this blog and updating it when I get progress. If you people want to comment, go ahead. I'll be writing. I do plan on getting more game cards in the future as it's getting close to that time when I need to make a wardrobe change and stitch some gear. Ciao! ^_^
