| Chris Storycrafter: "ARE YOU ****ING SERIOUS? YOU FORGOT TO DO THIS TUTORIAL?!?!?!" |
Yeah, I sort of forgot this Diego battle tutorial with Chris Storycrafter until now, oops! <_<
Anyways, welcome back to my blog! Big update today for Chris Storycrafter!
First off, he got the alert from Merle to visit Grizzleheim again to meet the king. (Well, Merle alerted him but didn't have any quest for him. I think the programmers didn't think to put that in.)
He and Mindy did manage to take down Grittir but I was not sure about them successfully taking out the many many bosses of the next area, so I put off Jotun for now... as in when Chris is Grandmaster and has the Strong spell to boost his attacks.
 |
| The Death Oni is about to be wrecked by a Baslisk, courtesy of Treasure Cards. |
However, he and Mindy worked together to complete the Tree of Life and take down the Death Oni. I was confused when "The Purifier" badge didn't show up until after the next part, when I remembered to collect the reward from Oakheart and friends in the dojo. Doh! I chanced the second chance chest and Chris got the Death Oni's boots which replaced his current shoes, even if they look dorky.
 |
| Ninja Pigs: "Get out of here, you demon pachyderm! We won't let you conquer our homeland! HYA!!!!" |
Thanks to heavy buffing, Mindy used her Treasure Cards to take down the Death Oni and the Jade Oni. Even though she's 1.1 levels away from getting her Level 48 spells, it's just a bigger Minotaur, which means I'd have to Feint twice, so yeah, Minotaur and Orthrus suck. They do take out a Myth Shield but Mindy has Shatter and Pierce, she doesn't need that. Ninja Pigs is far better.
 |
| Oops. Sorry, Helpful Mander. I should have guessed Cy was gonna summon the Pukefrog. (Didn't get to do anything) |
Then came the usual required match against Cyrus, which Mindy is gonna have to repeat to get the sucky Orthrus spell. Both Chris and Mindy took a lot of damage...
 |
| Yikes, that's one gal I don't want to make out with! O_O |
But they did fine, although Chris's minions(he got the Storm Elemental when he used Spectral Minion and Helpful Mander, as you saw above, didn't get to do anything before Humongo took him out) were much nicer than Mindy's, who kept busting her Feints. I was glad they were wiped out. I can't wait to get the better minions for these two, which are hardier and are telegraphable. Freddo did pretty well with Amy in a few solo fights.
So the two got to Dragonspyre okay. Mindy's lagging a bit in experience but I expect it's because her spell quests gave less experience than Chris's. They both joined separate groups in fighting the Loremaster but only got a lot of Treasure Cards, but Mindy got a ultra-rare Savage Paw card, which will be saved for some later boss because it's Balanceblade side effect is awesome. Once these two get Legendary Artisan, Savage Paw is going to be a staple in their boss decks. ^_^

In other news, Amy manages to inch a little closer in the Mangrove Marsh: She got the War Challenge back from the Tritops Ghoul(I can't remember these names), got into Tula Village and barely survived the battles with all the bird-folk. But I'm not going to fight Ciqolx(not spelled right) Nine Shadows until one of her friends is online and available, as these bosses are getting brutal. I know the difficulty has to spike to keep it challenging, but I had to buy another henchmen to get through that last boss battle! *sigh*
 |
| Monica: "Forgetting someone?" |
And yes, the other wizards are being neglected, but at least I got half of Monica's Level 38 spell quest done by having Amber help her run through Sunken City again. Yep, that's what that weird chest you can't open contains. So now Monica... has to get through Katz's lab to get to Mooshu and the Plague Oni. Ugh, I really really hate it, but it has to be done, so do it I will.
Ciao for now! Keep watching for more updates!
